Let’s Get Acquainted
Hi! I’m Dana, the author of this blog, Remnant Design. I live with my husband Larry, a retired airline pilot, in a cute little cottage in the Pacific Northwest. We live on an island with a stunning water view, 3/4 of an acre, and a small Shih Tzu, Dallas.
I have a lot of creative energy, probably more energy than actual talent. However that doesn’t stop me from embracing a craft-filled, DIY life. I love to cook, sew, knit, and bring repurposed life to vintage things. I also love to travel the world, camera in tow.
Larry is an incredible woodworker and builder, as well as kind and patient with my zest for home makeovers. He has taken so many of my dreams and made them reality.
Hopefully for you, our blog will be a catalog filled with creative ideas.
Why Do I Blog?
Our blog is an online photo journal of my time spent in crafty and creative endeavors. I enjoy showcasing our home enhancements, our travel and my photography. I will never be famous, popular or a social media influencer~ these are not my goals. My primary goal is to create a quality online snapshot of us, in a first-rate format. For me, the mechanics of a blog are challenging, and I am committed to mastering them. Thirdly, blogging provides structure~which is something I desperately crave. Without structure and purpose I am prone to giving myself over to anxiety or to lose myself in British dramas. Thank you for visiting! Let’s be friends.
So too, at the present time, there is a remnant chosen by faith. ~Romans 11:5
